Can my otter box iPhone case help prevent radiation off my phone?
So my mom just gave me her old iPhone 4S, but my step dad doesn't want me having a phone right now. (How should I tell him with our him taking it back? Cuz I still don't know anyone where I got PCS across the county an have no friends here still. It's been 2 1/2 weeks!) so I hide it in my shirt all the time. It has an otter box case on it but does it still give off as much radiation? Because my family already has medical issues an I'm already scared of those. I don't want to add another thing. It would be really helpful to know this. Cuz I don't know how much longer I have to hide this.
The amount of radiation that a mobile phone gives off is very minimal. Even if you didn't have a case on it you shouldn't suffer any medical issues.
Your phone doesn't give off any radiation. There's nothing radioactive about a telephone, NOTHING AT ALL.
A telephone operates with radio waves, as do radio and TV transmitters.
A telephone, powered by a battery the size of your thumb for several days doesn't use much power at all.
Microwaves, an extremely low form of energy as transmitted from a telephone are essentially stopped by the hair on your head, or would go about 1/100 of a mm into your skin. Therefore, you can safely totally forget about your worries about your phone.
If you really care, then you should never put on the TV in your house, never use a wireless telephone, only one with a corded headset. They all operate in the high frequency radio bands as well.
There's another form of microwave energy that is more powerful and the worst it can do, bad as that is, is to make your skin sunburned. The sun.
The power of light on your skin is one trillion (10 with 12 trailing zeros) times stronger than your telephone.
Still worried?
Oh, the box? It does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop microwaves, since your phone still works.
Hiding it under your shirt is the worst thing you can do in terms of radiation. Limit your use of the phone and keep it away from your body as much as possible. In the 1950 people were told smoking cigarettes is not a health risk! A couple of years ago it has been scientifically proven that smart phone radiation cause brain cancer it is only a question of time when this knowledge will go mainstream!
Your step dad is right give him my compliments and tell him your mum gave it to you so if he has got a problem with that let him sort it out with her instead
Does your mother want a divorce? Yikes! Way to build trust in a marriage. And don't believe the lie that cell phones are harmless. In some countries children aren't allowed to have cell phones because it is well known that they are harmful. US is hiding the facts from the public.
- Will Otter replace my Otter Box? Ok so on my iPhone 4 otterbox the rubber is breaking off, the hard part is breaking to pieces and the plastic screen is coming off. My mom sent pics to Otter online and I heard the will replace it. Will they?
- Which protects the iphone 4 better: an otter box or case mate? I'm getting an iphone4. I have in the past had an iphone3 and used an otterbox defender. This time I'm wanting to get something a little more stylish. I NEED the protection tho! So I'm wondering if the case mate protects as well as an otterbox?
- Which iphone 5 otter box case is better? The defender or the commuter. I'm torn between the two because I read that if dust get in the defender case the iphone 5 screen to get scratch. But the commuter doesn't have a built in screen Protector that protect the screen or logo.
- Um otter box case for iPhone 4S? My daughter indispensable school has a brand new iPhone 4S and I bought her a pink commuter otter box case for it. I bought it for her because the eighth graders shove her in the halls and I know she will drop it atleast once. She likes it but is it a good case with the protection it needs?
