Can't activate factory reset iPhone 3?
I factory reset my iPhone through iTunes. I don't have a sim in it, and don't want one. I'm just using it as an iPod. The problem is, after I reset it, it now comes up with the normal unlock screen, with a background that says iPhone. Then it goes through the regular setup thing, and I get to the point where it says "Please insert a SIM card". Since I'm not getting a sim card, and I don't have one spare, how can I get into it?
On a side note, this adds to the list of things I hate about Apple…
Yes, you have a reason for hating Apple. This sucks as you would have to have a SIM card in order to complete this process.
- Will the MAC address of my iPhone reset if I reset my iPhone to its factory settings over iTunes? I have jailbroken my device and used terminal to change my MAC address so that I could connect to school's Wi-Fi. But when I wanted to change it to its initial number, I typed in a wrong value and it just messed up my Wi-Fi, I can't connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Wonder if resetting to factory settings would help…

- I factory reset my iPhone 4 and I can't FaceTime or iMessage anybody? I reset my phone a couple of weeks ago and I was only messaging two people. After resetting my phone, I tried messaging and FaceTiming those same people and it won't work. I started messaging different people and it works fine, but I still can't message those two people? How can I fix this?
