Can't put songs onto my iPhone 5?
I set it up in iTunes as a new device and all. I have manually sync checked as well. When I drag the songs to my phone, they go in but they are grayed out and have a little circle next to them with arrows, kind of like a sync logo or something. Unfortunately the songs will not load onto my phone, yet everything else will, like my apps and so on.
Not sure what I should do?
Should I just backup and restore my phone?
I heard something about it not updating completely sometimes.

Have you checked off the songs? If you have no tick by the side of the songs then it won't transfer to iphone when in sync mode, always check for ios updates think yours will be ios 6 though

Retore your phone or delete some useless apps to make a space
Go to top of iTunes and click until you see preferences, then you will see itunes media location. Make sure iTunes is copying music from the correct folder. When you re-install itunes the folder you used to have your music in gets changed to default itunes folder. So check to see where all your music is stored and then match that folder up in itunes media folder location.
