Can you hook up an iPhone to an old car?
Like to listen to music?
You can hook into any car with a device called an FM modulator. You tune your radio to a specific non used radio station and the music comes through. It is not the highest quality audio you can get but it is accepable in most cases.
Look for products from Belkin for a good quality modulator.
No. Throw that blood phone away.
Sure, Either involving an FM Transmitter. Or having a new head unit(stereo) installed in your car. You will then be able to plug in an aux cable from your iphones 3.5mm headphone jack into the cars stereo input.
FM Transmitters- Not very good audio quality at all
New Head unit- Your whole cars audio will sound better, and you will have clear music.
And if your car has a cassette player. You can purchase a Cassette player to aux cable adapter that plugs straight into your iphone. For around five dollars.
I never had luck with the fm transmitters on my mp3 players
I'm considering changing or adding radio to get aux audio jack for car my kid drives like Interestinglyi mentioned
- If I buy a new stereo for my car with a USB port can it work in any car? My stereo in my 1998 transport just died. This surprisingly excited me. I just got a new IPhone and I'm constantly installing new music. I'm wondering if I can buy a radio with a USB port and put it in my 98 transport even though my car didn't come with a USB port in the radio. Is this at all possible?
