Can you jailbreak ios 7.1.1 or downgrade it to an older version?

I have an iphone 4 with ios 7.1.1 and want to jailbreak it. If this is not possible, can you downgrade it to an older version that is jailbreak compatible.

There's not a jailbreak for that version. Evad3rs say that will probably not be releasing a version until iOS 8 there used to be ways to downgrade but apple has prevented that so people can't downgrade. You can go on YouTube and delete something to downgrade. But Personally I have tried and failed.

I have been trying to downgrade, but i continuesly get the error 3194 and utube isn't helping with that… But there's hope on an ios 7.1.1 jailbreak from the Evad3rs though these are just things floating around in the jailbreak community.
if you really want to jailbreak though… You can do a tethered jailbreak from GeekSn0w for iphone 4… But then every time you want to restart your iphone you need to plug it into your computer
