Send an app through airdrop with an iphone?
I read that air drop can send photos videos and apps i know how to send pics and vids but i want to know how to send apps thank you.
You just drag what ever you want to send on to the picture of the other computer. So just go to your applications folder and drag the icon over.
You can't send apps. Apps can't be transferred P2P as that would cause major legal issues with non free apps. You can send normal files for the most part.
On OSX on the other hand you can send whatever you want to another computer.
iOS 8 will change this as you can transfer to your OSX now through airdrop as well, but will probably still limit it to files and such.
- Why can't AirDrop on new iPhones work with AirDrop on new macs? IOS7 lets you AirDrop files between phones, and Mac OS 10.8 has had an AirDrop feature for the last year or so, but why can't I transfer a file from my phone to my laptop and vice versa easily?
- What if you didn't get Airdrop and Airplay with IOS 7? I have an iPhone (obviously), and I downloaded IOS 7. I have a iPhone 4s and in the control center there's no Airdrop and Airplay. Did something go wrong in the download?

- Is it bad to leave AirDrop always on? I'm in the habit of not turning off AirDrop after I use it on my iPhone and was wondering if it affects my battery life at all?
