It's unlocked so it would work for talking and texting, but since Straight Talk's GSM stuff piggybacks off AT&T, it wouldn't be compatible with 3G or 4G LTE, meaning your data would be slow if it worked at all.
You can't unlock your CDMA iphone. You have to flash it to use other CDMA sim cards. Unlocking can be done for GSM supported iPhones
