Can you use a virgin mobile Iphone 5c for metro pcs?
Both are CDMA. I have a iPhone 5c from Virgin mobile and now I want to switch it to metro pcs! What do I have to do? Can I go to the Virgin mobile store so they can unlock my iPhone 5c?
Actually that is not correct. Since T-Mobile bought Metro PCS, Metro PCS uses sim cards now and is a GSM network. Virgin Mobile uses CDMA network and doesn't use sim cards. Both are incompatible and so you can't use a virgin mobile iphone 5c on metro pcs.
Not positive, but Metro-PCS is switching from CDMA to GSM (sim cards), so even if it works, it will not work for long.
I don't think Virgin will unlock the phone. But you can just get the phone flashed to MetroPCS's CDMA service. They also have GSM service too so you can also get the phone factory unlocked and use on their GSM service. If you need help with getting the phone flashed or unlocked, mail me.
