Added (1). Recently I read a blog about Apple Watch Application's Features and installation. But I'm confused that They can't run without your iPhone turned on. Why?

There a only a few things that wrist watch can do without having to have an iPhone…97% of everything else you must have an iPhone with you and your phone must be turned on ( so the watch can talk to the phone )…
So-o-o-o-o chunk down some big money for an iPhone and then chunk down some big money for a wrist watch that really can't do squat without the phone…

- Will the Apple Watch accessories for the 38mm fit the Apple Watch 4? Will the 38mm accessories fit the 40mm accessories for the Apple watches? Kinda like how 7+ things fit the 8+ things with the iPhones etc I was wondering because I just recently purchased my first Apple Watch, series 4, the Nike edition, 40mm & when I type in accessories for that online most things pop up as 38mm/40mm, so I was just wondering before I make any purchases for accessories…
- Whatsapp installation and activation? I have an iPod 5 and I want WhatsApp so I followed the installation part but the activation requires an iPhone I'm studying abroad and I don't have an iPhone nor do I want to ask someome for theirs (don't know that many people) can I activate it somehow else? I'm not willing to jailbreak it either!

- IPhone Plugged in to other iTunes and Info shared? I'm now being a little bit paranoid, I just bought an iphone and just now my sister connected my iphone to his mac book with itunes and my phone just change the device name to her device name. Then suddently there's alot of APP waiting to be installed in my phone, I manually deleted all. Do you think there's any info shared with her? When someone message me will it go to her aswell?
