Does the colour of your lockscreen/background affect battery life on iPhone?
I've read on a few websites that having a dark/black background photo on my iPhone will use less power than a bright colour theme, hence consuming less battery. Is this true?
The light comes from one big glow panel, and the number of lit or unlit pixels doesn't matter. You can save battery life by turning down the brightness control.
No.
Only by reducing the overall brightness setting
can you save power by adjusting a screen parameter.
The biggest battery eaters in an iPhone are Apps ---
close All of them that are not being used.
… Sort of like the fact that a refrigerator, an electric water heater, an electric dryer,
or an A/C unit is the biggest power drain in a typical home,
but a lot of people are more concerned about how much energy a nightlight uses.
Learning the realities of power consumption can do a lot of good.
You can save battery life by turning down the brightness of your display it consume the battery but very less, specially battery are more consumed by apps in the phone so close the apps when not in use. - If connected to Wi-Fi, does the iphone 4s affect your data bill? I just recently gotten my iphone 4s, (yay! And i know it has a monthly data plan that i'm going to pay for. I was just wondering, if i'm at home and connect to my Wi-Fi network that i use for everything in my house (computers, e.c.t) using my phone, will it charge my data plan for over use? Or does being connected to your own network not take away data time/ charge you on your plan.
