Connecting iPhone 5 to laptop to film videos?
Is there a way to connect my iphone 5 to my laptop when I'm filming so I can see what's in the frame by looking at my laptop?
Similar to when you connect a DSLR to a laptop rather than using the flipscreen?

If you want something "dSLR like" use a dSLR, not a phone that happens to capture video as a convenience feature.

- Will connecting my iPhone to new laptop delete everything? I just got a new laptop and want to connect my iPhone with it instead of my brothers one which I had been using. All the music on my iPhone is pretty old anyway so I wouldn't mind if that got deleted and I had to start again with music, but will things like contacts and photos and everything else be deleted too?

Whenever I plug my iPad into my laptop using a USB cable my iPad connects to my laptop/iTunes and my iPad starts charging. However, whenever I use the same USB cable to connect my iPhone, nothing happens. My iPhone doesn't start charging and nothing appears on my laptop. Why is this? Is there a setting on my phone I need to change? Any help appreciated.

I mean, its still 1080p, and I have a fisheye for my iphone. Is it normal to film skate vids with an iphone? Do people do that? Or should I use a camcorder. Bc I honestly don't see any difference
