Ditching Verizon Wireless, what do I do with iPhone?

My contract is ending in April, I just recently lost my Blackberry Curve so I ended up buying the iPhone. But I don't want to renew my contract. What carrier (prepaid) would accept my Verizon iPhone?

No other carrier would accept a phone from another provider.each cell phone provider has strict contracts with the phone companies to use only their phones, with the proper sim cards to read off of the right network. So even if you find another company that uses iphones, your phone is set up to read off of verizon towers, and can't legally be made to read off of other providers towers.

you can sell your iphone on ebay or whatever, some places have recycling centers that will give you money for it, and some places accept donations if you have the heart to donate it to the less fortunate.

also, it would be pretty ridiculous to use an iphone on a prepaid account. The data charges are high, and you would save money getting a regular plan. The overages on data would cost you a fortune every month.

Keep it or sell it you can sell it up to 300$

You don't have to renew. Once the contract is up, you go on paying on a month-to month basis. Cancel anytime. Essentially the same as prepaid.

Unless you are having issues with Verizon's signal, no reason to find another carrier. You can change to a different plan is you need to change something. Call Verizon and ask for the retention department. They often have unpublished rates to keep people from switching.
