From what I know, I think they have some of the same apps but not all.
Not always, but for the most part, most popular apps are in both app stores (either that or a close equivalent).
Because both operating systems are so hugely popular, developers who want their apps to reach the widest audience will make both Android and iPhone versions.
You'd pretty much have the same app options with both operating systems.
Do you have any specific apps in mind?
Apps are always released on iphone first, and updates always go to iphone first (this is because iphone apps make far more money then any other platform, and people also use iphones far more then other platforms).
Its also common to find the same apps on both platforms, and then realize the android version is far outdated. Seen this multiples times now.
Most of the apps are available on both OS. But you'll find that a lot of the apps are only available on Android. For the simple reason - it only costs about £10 to launch your app in Play store (comparing to about £300 in App Store)
P.S. You should realize that it is VERY different developing an application for Android and for iOS. You can't just copy/paste
EDIT: @Danston. What you are saying is not entirely true. 69% of all smartphone users are running Android. Compare it to 19% of iOS. App store makes more money - true. But only marginally - about 20% more. Android is closing in superfast.
Also: what market gets quicker update depends on a lot of factors and OS is none of them. It all depends on application performance and how quick developers on that OS are (you will find that more often than not same application on different markets is developed by different companies). I know because I'm part of development of a lot of application.

No not really all but almost. IPhone apps comes first then an android version will soon be develop.
- Why do so many kids have iphones, blackberrys, and smart phones? I mean little kids as young as 5 years old. It really does annoy me because they are little and don't need a really expensive phone just for emergencies. I always see them on the phones and ipods. My brother is almost in middle school and has the cheapest phone. And i'm in highschool and my phone is nowhere near the expesive phones the elementary kids have infact my phone is used so i got for free.
- My mom and i got the same phone and same plan yet her internet loads all the time and mine never does? Two iPhone 7+. Same unlimited data plan. Yet literally no matter where I'm, nothing that uses data loads unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Yet my mom's internet loads no matter where she is. It's even happened that we're in the same place trying to load the same thing and hers loads while mine doesn't. Yes, I have my data turned on. I've made sure all my data settings are identical to my mom's. So i really don't know what could be causing this.
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
