Do i get messages if my Wi-Fi isn't on?
I had to send a text to my employer but right after i sent it, my Wi-Fi did not work. So i texted my mom to see if it sends through without Wi-Fi but it did not send. So i guess my phone doesn't work with Wi-Fi off. And when my Wi-Fi came back on, the text i sent my mom came through.
i have a iphone 4 so if my employer did send me a text during the disconnection, would i receive it? I still did not receive any response but he always reply back quickly.
Whether wi-fi or an airtime dongal such as T-Mobile the connection can disconnect and then connect again within a second sometimes repeatedly, and one text or email sent will get through and another won't. With a dongal all texts and emails sent to us will show up in our inboxes even when the phone or pc is off because they are with the airtime provider.
SMS text messages are sent through the cell phone network and not through Wi-Fi. If the receiving phone is not on at the time a message is sent, the message is stored on the network until the phone is available.
However, if you are using a non-SMS text message App, then it might be sent through Wi-Fi or through your mobile Internet data connection. If you are using such an App then whether it will be received if the recipients phone is off but subsequently turned on will depend upon the App.
Personally, I have my phone set to get delivery reports for SMS messages that I send.

I have had my iphone for about 2 and a half weeks and ever since i bought it it hasn't sent messages right… I have tried to reset it and i looked at imessage and made sure everything was right on that and it still won't send messages half the time… Plus i can't get incoming calls sometimes i will have to call the person thats trying to call me… Should i take it back to c spire or what?

- Voicemail isn't deleting the messages on iPhone 6? I've been trying to delete the same message but it keeps reappearing, but it shows up in the deleted messages part every time I delete. It just keeps reappearig in my unread voicemails. How do I get rid of it?
- My New IPhone isn't sending messages? I just got a new iPhone 4s today, and some of the text messages arent being delivered properly. I have good service and there's no initial sending error, the people I'm texting just aren't receiving the messages. It has so far worked with two numbers out of around ten. Those two numbers are both long distance. No one local is getting my texts. Any advice because I paid a lot for this phone and plan, and it's starting to piss me off.
