Do i have too buy a iphone from walmart to use on straight talk?
I want a iphone for straight talk and I understand that walmart sells them. But, do I have too buy it from walmart or can I buy a used one from craigslist like AT&T or Verizon?
This is a little complex, Straighttalk uses both CDMA & GSM phone, so you would need an unlock GSM or a CDMA phone that has been "flashed" to straighttalk.
If the old iPhone is a GSM model that has been unlocked to run on any carrier, you can buy a Straight Talk SIM card from them and install it into the phone. But make sure that it has been unlocked before you buy, otherwise it will not work.

Do i get it from the store or online? Yes you can put a sim card in it. I have one in my iphone 4s but i don't know if it is on the iphone 5 and if i buy the iphone 5 from at&t i shouldent have to unlock it right? Thats how the 4s works. If its at&t it doesn't need unlocking

- Straight Talk Iphone 5 from Walmart? I've been reading up on Iphone 5 deals and it seems like the one from Walmart with a prepaid service is the best deal. However, in the comments I began reading some nonsense about not having access to LTE services with the prepaid service and this other stuff about GSM and CDMA. Can anybody explain this to me? Also, say I dislike the straight talk service, can I still take my iphone 5 and get a contract with Verizon or AT&T. Any possible information is greatly appreciated.
