Does an Iphone without a sim card still have information on it?
I want to sell my old iphone 5 on ebay for parts as it is water damaged and cracked and I've seen them go for decent prices for parts, I have taken my sim out but I don't want to sell if if I'm giving a stranger the personal information that was on it? Is there any way of them getting it?
Data stays on the phone even if there's no SIM card. If your phone can still function, then you can try to erase all data through the phone or by connecting it to iTunes. If it doesn't work with iTunes then the phone is probably completely broken and people won't be able to get your data.
It really depends, honestly.
YOU would have to go into settings and restore too factory defaults or plug it into your computer and do it through itunes.
Yes it does. The majority of information is on the phone's memory. SIM cards don't store much beyond the phone number & contacts (if you option that). You'd have to restore it through iTunes if that's even possible at this point.
- What information does the sim card hold? After my iPhone fell in the water and stopped working, I have decided to get a new phone. It is before my upgrade is due, so I will have to pay a penalty for having it early. However my dad suggested handing my phone into them to maybe reduce the price. Anyway, if I take my sim card out, what will remain on my phone itself. Because I do not want the people seeing like my pictures, or any other personal details. So what will remain on my phone, and what will go?
- Swapping information from one sim card to another? I've recently got Orange to swap all of my data from an old sim card to a new iphone 5 one, and they said that it would take 24 hours but it hasn't! I was wondering how long it will take before I can get my rightful stuff for it?
- Since the sprint iphone 5 has a sim card does it still have an esn? Someone wants to sell me a used iphone 5 i wanted to know if i can activate it unblocked with another company or if i can activate it wiwth sprint
- How to use my iTunes gift card without having to verify my billing information? I just got the iPhone 5. Prior to this, I had the iPhone 4 and I accessed my iTunes account from that. Then I started using my iTunes account from my dad's computer. Out of the blue, it started telling me that I couldn't even download a free app without verifying my billing information. I tried doing this, but the security code on my dad's card wouldn't work. Shouldn't I be able to use my gift card without having to verify my billing information?
