Does apple do free screen repairs?
My iPhone 6s was stolen today and we found it hours later. It was found without a case (I always have a case on my phone) and the screen was cracked. What can apple do and what is the cost for it?
They do not do free screen repairs. Heck they don't do repairs unless it's the most current of technology out there.
I know, I tried to get my iPad Air (gen one) fixed there. They were just going to sell me a new iPad Air for $250.
Best bet is to look for a store in your area that does screen repairs. If you can find a Zagg one, go there since they give lifetime warranty on the work.
Only if covered under warranty - which normally means "manufacturer defect". Since the screen was not broken due to manufacturer defect, free repair from Apple is not likely.
If your iPhone has some sort of insurance coverage (typically from your service provider - you pay more each month, so not "free"), then there may be coverage through that… We don't know if your phone is covered with that insurance and chances are high a homeowners insurance deductible will be more than the expense of the repair.
Apple doesn't repair screens for free. There are many third party companies that do this much cheaper that Apple. I used to work for one and I can say that the quality of work is fantastic. Look up local shops that do it.
If it was under warranty & covered also by AppleCare, maybe.
Otherwise you'd have to pay. Don't know the cost offhand but you could ask Apple through @AppleSupport on Twitter.
- Official Repairs for iPhone 5c? I recently dropped my iPhone 5c without a case (it was coming in the mail) and i scratched up the plastic part of the phone pretty badly. I was wondering if there was somewhere I could go and get it professionally repaired, as I don't want to buy a plastic cover and replace it myself. A price of how much that would cost would be great too.
- Iphone has white screen black apple logo frozen it occasionally goes black then that screen shows up again screen went red once? I held the home and power buttons and it showed me that the battery was super low with the little red lines hasn't shown me that since now it's just frozen on black apple logo with white background and the screen flickers occasionally i've had it plugged into the wall charging for 2 hours now and still nothing should I go get it looked at by apple or do I just leave it charging longer?
- IPhone 5 screen repairs in Melbourne? Dropped phone, found loads of websites but they don't seem to give a price, lowest I've found is $125! Anyone know a shop or place in Melbourne that does it cheap? Preferably near st kilda if poss… Thanks.
- Iphone 5 Repairs? Broken and cracked screen+Bent aluminum case? I dropped my iphone 5 off a rollercoaster and it bent right at the volume down button. And the screen is way cracked.um, how could that be fixed? Can it be fixed? I do have pictures, just ask.
