Does Apple take iPhone customers for granted?

Because Tim Cook admits customers not upgrading. Seems like he's just assuming iPhone users will upgrade to another iPhone. Do iPhones users truly blindly follow Apple?

I do think so.

Apple products are the best products in the world, especially computer.

There's samsung and some chinese constructor with flagship (phones). I used myself a ONE PLUS ONE and I will never change it for an Apple device

But I do think Apple device are so simple to use that customer will stay with this brand rather than change.

A lot of brands are upgrading their products more frequently than before. Apple is weird, though, because it's always late to the party when it comes to innovation. Also, their stuff is proprietary, both hardware and software.

Apple right now, doesn't get by with technology. They get by with excessive marketing. They can actually make people believe that their product is good when it's behind in the race. People don't realize that the only true accomplishment they ever did was twofold, scsi drives and high quality graphics. But everybody has surpassed them now.

Answer: yes, what they offer is beyond what the consumers really get

Why are you here crying about others? Thats the real question here.

Yes, many people love and appreciate Apple products for the quality, design innovation, good looks, advanced technology, and simple operation. So when a new Apple product comes out, they assume it's going to be even better than the previous model because that's the way it's always been. They are rarely disappointed.

Because Apple products are priced a bit higher than other similar products, many people who love the products simply can't afford to upgrade every time the company comes out with new products. Some people choose to go with a less expensive product, knowing that they are not getting Apple quality.
