Does buying a refurbished iPhone affect plan/upgrade status on Sprint?
I can't seem to find an answer to this question, and am hoping someone here can help me.
I'm on a Family Plan that my brother pays for. I have been eligible for an upgrade for a few months now. Well, I currently can't afford to buy a new $100 iPhone for my upgrade, hence my current question.
Does buying a refurbished iPhone affect plan/upgrade status?
I can manage to pull together the money needed for that, BUT I do not want a 2-year plan. I have plans to take my number onto a separate plan in the near future, and so, I don't want to buy this refurbished phone and have it mess up going out on my own plan. Again, I have Sprint.
Can anyone help me?
As log as you insert the SIM card and plug it into iTunes to set it up, then it should not affect your upgrade, since you did not go through a retailer and do it professionally.
Do you mean buying a refurbished phone from Sprint instead of an upgrade 100 buck new iphone, also from Sprint? If yes, then I would say yes, because your refurbished phone is also subsidized by Sprint. You need to call sprint to make sure.
It really depends on if you have a data plan. If your not on a data plan then yes you have to pay for data reactivation.
- Will the sprint iPhone Forever plan or a similar plan be available later this year? I don't have enough money right now and it expires soon, but I'm asking because it's a great deal and I don't want to miss out on it. Obviously you can't know for sure, but has anyone paid attention to previous years, and/or can you make an educated guess?
- Why does my refurbished verizon iphone 4 say sprint next to carrier in my settings? Yeah and I spoke to Verizon over the phone and they said the phone is verizon or else they would not be able to see it on their end. And they said they activated the line. But the phone is not activated and the carrier says sprint under settings although Verizon says it is a verizon phone
- Does everyone in a sprint family plan need to upgrade at once? My family is due for an upgrade, and my phone is borderline unusable at this point, so I'd like to upgrade to a GS 5 right now, however my brother wants to wait until the iPhone 6 comes back in stock for his upgrade. Do we all have to upgrade at once or can I do mine now?
- Does BBM music status updates work for the IPhone? Have tried it many times, did not work. Is it working for anyone else, or is everyone having the same problem?
