Does having Reduce Motion option enabled on iPhone 4S help to increase battery life?

I've had the reduce motion option enabled on my iPhone 4S for quite a few months as I've heard that it saves battery life but is this true?

Today I have turned the motions on as it looks quite nice but will this have an impact on my battery life?

Yes, it can increase battery life. It reduces strain on the GPU in the A5 chip.

  • Will i reduce my iphone's battery life? If i never turn my iphone 4s off and only put it on sleep even throughout the night when it is charging forever and never turn it off, will it eventually make the battery not last as long? What about on my macbook pro?
  • Will charging my iPhone battery on full brightness increase battery length? If I adjust it to full brightness while charging and once charged 100% adjust it back to a dimmer screen will this increase the battery's life span?
  • Where is reduce motion on accessablity? I have iPhone 4 and it says I will have parallax, but I don't. And I'm trying to find reduce motion, but I can't find that either. I want to try the parallax effect even though people are trying to turn it off. I see it everywhere, "how to turn off parallax" so I was like "if it can teach me to turn it off, it's also the same way I can turn it on". General > Accessablities There's no "reduce motion" I can't find it.
  • Just updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7.0.3 qnd reduce motion option is back? What does this do if I turn it on? I know that parrallax isn't on it but does it add any other features?
