Does iphone GPS work if I don't pay my bill?

I was thinking about getting rid of my phone bill by canceling my service but it is really nice having GPS. Will it still work without my service?

No; if you don't have an internet connection, you can't access services such as GPS.

Although GPS itself is not dependent on cell service or Wi-Fi, many apps such as Google Maps do depend on having Internet service in order to work. So if you cancel your phone service, you'll have to have Wi-Fi to use most GPS-related apps.

The GPS will still work. However, like others have mentioned, you won't be able to use Maps because maps aren't on your phone.

What you can do, however, is download a GPS app. I've been using CoPilot for about 3 years and it's worked pretty well for me. You download the app, and then you download the map for your region. It'll take anywhere from 25Mb to a couple of gigabytes.

The GPS would work but you'd limit yourself to only Wi-Fi to make it useful as far as loading maps, etc

GPS will work fine, your maps won't. See about getting an offline navigation app
