Does it cost money to use Instagram with Wi-Fi in Mexico?
I'm going to Mexico and I have an iPhone, I want to use Instagram and post but I don't want to be charged extra. Does it cost money if I'm using the hotels Wi-Fi and turn off data roaming some how. And how do you turn off data roaming?
If the Wi-Fi is free, then you are fine. Should be able to turn off cell data in Settings.
Nope, completely free. When I go out of the country I leave my phone on airplane mode and then if you want to use Wi-Fi turn only Wi-Fi on while still in airplane mode and you won't have to worry about being charged.
It doesn't cost to use Instagram (or anything) on Wi-Fi period.
- Will Verizon charge me more if I use my iPhone in Mexico? I live in the US, but will be traveling to Mexico within the next month. Will Verizon charge me if I go onto Twitter or Instagram or Facebook while in Mexico?

- What app can I use for messaging in Mexico I'm going to Mexico next week for a few days & I know that Sprint charges.15cents receiving messages and.50cents sending but also using an app costs 4.00 everytime I use it. Is there a messaging app I can use that won't charge me or being able to at least use twitter?! I have an iPhone 4 & it's also jailbroken if there's any apps that can help me.
- Mexicans: do you send money back to mexico or support relatives there? Why do mexican families expect their adult grown children to now support them? Why do mexican families always complain about how hard life in Mexico is but yet have iPhone 5, satellite TV and coach purses? I'm so confused, my friend is always sending them money and they are living better than he is!
