Does my iphone need a battery replacement?

My iphone shutoff unexpectly at 2%( which is still able to charge it before it reaches 1%) then it turned back on because it was 1%battery then turned on then turned off because it was 1% and this kept going on all night. Now when i plugged the charger its stuck on the black screen with the big battery in the middle. It won't charge, does that mean i need to replace the battery. I had the iphone 4 for 2 years. If i do need to replace how much will it cost and how long will it take

No. Mine shuts off at 9% sometimes

Yes, you should replace it. It's about $80 and shouldn't take too long in the store.

Most smart phones have an average life of 2 years, mainly because they remain booted for 95% of the 2years. So it's always a good idea to replace the battery around the two year mark, a full HDD Format doesn't go a miss either.

  • Why iphone is hot under camera after battery replacement? I changed my iphone 4 battery last week. The battery is not original, My Iphone used to become hot in the area under camera a little while charging or using it alot, Now it is like before but the heat is more, Do you know which part is always heating the iphone specially when I charge it? (I know that battery itself never heats up, the only place is under camera)
  • Where can I buy a good iPhone 4S replacement battery? Amazon has some, but their reviews are kinda bad. I'm not sure if Apple sells them, because I want to replace the battery myself (I don't want them to know I jailbroke my phone).
  • Replacement Pending iPhone. Replacement phone or fix? My iphone is being repaired and on the apple service page it says 'iPhone replacement pending' and below it says repair complete… I was wondering if this meant that my phone has been repaired or if Apple are sending a replacement iphone different than the original.
  • IPhone 5s battery replacement? My iPhone 5s battery life is really short (about 4 hours) and I want to get it fixed but I don't really wanna pay over 30 pounds any suggestions?
