Does sending/receiving pictures and videos on iMessage cost data on AT&T?

I recent, y traded my iPod Touch 5 for and iPhone 5 and I will be using the same plan that I have had with my old phone; unlimited call and texting but the smallest amount of data possible. Will I be able to send pictures/videos off of Wi-Fi on iMessage without using up my data? And once I put a sim in it I can use my iPhone just like my iPod, right?
If doing so off of a Wi-Fi connection, yes. On any carrier.
- Why isn't my iPhone 5 not receiving or sending texts to andriod phones? I just recently got an iPhone 5 (regular. Not 5s or 5c). I haven't updated to iOS7 yet but ever since I've gotten this phone it hasn't received or sent text messages to an android phone. I haven't tried calling yet so I'm not sure about that yet.
- Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
- IPhone says i have 8.94 GB of photos and videos when i only have 330 pictures and 2 videos? My iPhone 5c (16 GB) has been driving me nuts lately saying i have no more space for pictures, apps, or music because my photos/videos are taking up 8.94 GB… But i only have 330 pictures after i deleted my other photos. My recently deleted is cleared, and my photo stream sharing is off. Someone please help!
- IPhone 5 isn't receiving or sending picture messages? I just got it and I've been trying to send and get messages to and from others but it hasn't been working for me and I don't know if its the phone or if I'm doing something wrong.
