Does updating to iOS 6 over my iPhone deletes some stuff?
I have a 16gb iPhone 4s and I was wondering if it would delete some stuff, music photos etc? I'll update it via phone
No I just updated it, it deleted all my apps besides the Facebook ones and tumblr! And I literally HATE the new layout, seriously, don't do it! But no, it doesn't delete your music or photos, or contacts or anything like that.
Answer is a striaght-forward no.
Apple's own apps like contacts, music, photos apps etc are thoroughly tested before any upgrade goes live.
Apps build by other developers that you download on the app store might have issues, but you would expect the developer to test out the app every release before it reaches you - at least the majority of the app developers do.
Edit for Charlottes comments below: The other apps which have disappeared might be the ones where the developer hasn't tested on iOS 6 - but they shouldnt disappear anyways, if they don't work - they should just crash when opened.
The only way the update will delete anything is if you do NOT back up everything first. Just sync your phone to your computer before updating the iOS and everything will be fine.
It only deletes stuff that was downloaded directly to the phone since you last synced with iTunes or iCloud.
If this happens, just log into the itunes and apps stores after the update is complete and select 'not on this iphone' in the purchases tab
passbook and panoramic camera features become inbuilt in the 4s & 5 and can't be deleted from the phone
Updated ios6 via itunes lst night, 9-19, iphone 4s went to recovery mode and would not get out despite holding down "hoAme" and power keys. Popup directed to "restore" which I did and when completed all music files itunes and others were deleted from both iphone 4s and itunes!
Also so, far I prefer Google maps.

- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
- Why does Netflix keep pausing and playing over and over? I'm using it on my iphone 4. And I have checked my connections over and over I've uninstalled reinstalled, signed in signed back and everything else that the troubleshoot website has recommend. And it's gotten annoying. It didn't start doing this as much until I updated the app before the ios 7 release. I'm currently using the trial for netflix and my laptop doesn't work so I can get it on anything but my phone.
- Teensafe? Does it work if he deletes the message? I want to install teensafe iphone monitoring software on my sons iphone and have two questions. I understand it works by getting the info from my child's iphone backup to iCloud but does that mean if he deletes the message before the backup, I will not be able to see it? And how much does it cost because the prices don't seem apparent…
