Dropped iphone in water, speakers sound weird?

So I accidentally just dropped my phone into my sink full of water, luckily I had my headphones plugged in so I was able to pull it out before it had been completely submerged. I took off the otterbox case and dried it off, thinking everything would be fine. A few minutes later when I went to play a song, I realized that the speakers sounded funny and extremely soft. I tried the q-tip trick, blow drying it, and now have it in a ziplock bag with rice. I'm extremely upset that this happened based on the fact that the phone had to be in water for less than two seconds total. Does anyone have any tips on how I can fix it?

All I can say is rice! I would put it in a bowl though so the water goes to the bottom and the phone doesn't have to sit in it:\

Sounds like it just needs to dry out for a bit.

  • What are water speakers like for sound? Hi am wanting to purchase some speakers so I can plug my iphone into them I do like the water speakers but what are they like for sound if I got two? • IPhone 4S speakers sound weird? So my phone was in my back pocket while is was POURING rain outside! I felt like I was swimming! When I got in the car I dried my iPhone with a towel and an hour later once I got home I put it in rice to try to soak anything else out. Now when ever I try to play music or watch Netflix, the sound is terrible! It sounds broken, crackly and it's very hard to hear.

Now the speakers don't work. What to do? P.S. I've tried rice… It takes a very long time. I'm kiinndaa desperate. Short methods please? Thanks (: Yes my fish is okay (: Now it won't turn off!
  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
