Dropped my Iphone 4S in the toilet at school?

I dropped my Iphone into the toilet at school today around 11 o'clock. After the shock went away, I immediately went in to grab it. Probably must have been like five seconds.

My phone was already on, and not ever having water damage to any of my phones ever in my life, I didn't know that I should have turned it off immediately. Instead, I put it under the hand dryers at school and tried to dry it off that way since we don't have paper towels in bathrooms.

I did have a case on it, a speck one, and took it off immediately.

I went to my teacher and asked if I could run down to the cooking room and ask that teacher for some rice for my phone, but she said no.

SO I kept using my phone, and put it in the rice at like 4 o'clock after school. I knew there was still water in my phone, despite the fact that it was working, because my camera got foggy and there was condensation or something on the lens.

I have it in a bag of rice completely filled to the top. Any other suggestions of what I should do?

Also, I noticed the battery was working weird. It never went below 50% the rest of the day, which is weird since the phones battery sucks, so I restarted the phone. Then it went down to 3%, but still never changed.

The phone is completely off now.

Dang that sucks… Sorry for that:/

You should of put the rice on you phone anyways even if your teacher said no

Get it fixed, get it repaired or get a new one

I'm surprised it didn't just fry. Wow. I just picked up the iphone 5.It's not going near any water.

Omg mines to i had the iphone 4s now i got the iphone5 anyways i did the rice thing to and it worked a little bit

I had that happened to me before… It's really luck that's gonna decide anything. The rice idea is really good because itll take out all the humidity out of your phone. Seeing that it's an iphone, you can't really take the battery out so you're stuck waiting. Leave it in rice, with the power off for12-24 hours. Sometimes rice makes miracles! Sometimes… It doesn't.

Good luck though, there's not much else you can do.

Put it in a bag of rice, then carry the bag of rice everywhere you go. When you want to make a phone call, put the bag of rice up against your ear.

There's really nothing else you can do you are taking the right precautions, just keep it in rice and contact the service provider or apple to see if you can get it fixed or replaced.
just keep that thing in rice for the rest of the night, and check tomorrow

I dried the phone and it was off and I couldn't turn it on. During first period the phone was really hot, I'm scared the phone is burning or something. I just got home from school and its been 8 hours of school and the phone still not on. The camera lens for taking picture is a ill watery. What should I do? Does putting it in a bowl of rice after 8 hours help?
