Dropped my iphone 4s in the toilet

Well i dropped my ipohone in the toilet, don't ask me how. But i did: P And well it was fully submerged for about 5 seconds, i quickly pulled it out and dried it off. It turned on perfectly fine, then i tried to make a call and the whole screen shuttered then turned off. I had to go to school, so i brought it with me. When i got home about 7 hours later i put it in rice in a bag. The next day i pulled it out, tried to turn it on. And no responce, i tried charging it but still no response. I'm not sure what to do.

Leave it in rice for a week.

Don't just throw the whole phone is rice! Okay listen… If there's a case take it off. The use a small needle and push it in the hole at the top. The SIM card will pop out. Soak that in the rice. Then if that doesn't work you either need a repair kit so you can remove the battery or take it in so a professional can do it

When you turned it on, you killed it. Sorry it is dead. The rice might have worked if you hadn't turned it on. Try the apple replacement service if you have no insurance will cost about 1/2 the market price but you have to return the faulty phone too

Is it under warranty? Or did you take out extra cover. Most water damaged items will fail, New phone time

Buy some iphone screwdrivers and remove the back cover and take off the battery.take a hair dryer on lowest heat and try to dry it. After that try to get it back on.

if you still got a warranty which include damage caused by water that should solve it.

if you too freaked out to open our favorite toy, go a a local shop and try and get some professionals to look at it

Just take it to trustable center and tell them the whole things.

Put it in rice for 2 days. Add sugar, remove the phone, eat the rice. Its delicious.

I was not going to ask,
You took you phone INTO the toilet and NOW have taken recycling to a whole new level

That's the best place for it, put it back in toilet.

You shouldn't ON the phone. Let it dry for few hours or dry it with a hair dryer.

Remove the battery and the SIM card. Let it dry under the normal room temperature.

This is a electronic device Girl. Water and electric component don't mixed.

But for the future, not to repeat the same incident… Use waterproof casing.
