Dropped my iPhone 5s in toilet?

I dropped my iPhone 5s in the toilet for like a few seconds it didn't sink to the bottom it just was at the top so it wasn't completely submerged. It didn't glitch or anything nothing happened to it there's no water in the camera or anything. I turned it off right away and plan to leave it off all night. I'm a college student so I don't have a bag of rice to throw it in and I'm going home for Easter tomorrow and I need my phone on. Do you think it'll be fine? What tips does anyone have for me?

Don't take it apart like the previous person said. Since it's already shut down, wrap it up in a towel, or any type of absorbing food/silica gel packets you might have and give it as long as you can to dry.

What you are planning to put your iphone that have fall in to toilet and put it to a bag of rice… I don't want to eat that rice of yours haha

Take the phone apart as far as you can with, with out damaging or removing any screws. Let air dry 24 hours and it should be fine.

There's a small chance its broken then hopefully its covered under warranty.

Do not take apart the phone, as you have more chance of damaging the phone than fixing it. If you can, it would be great but I assume that almost 80% of people can't take apart their phone without breaking it. I guess Richard is the 20% who can.

As you took it out immediately and turned it off, it has a higher chance of surviving since you did not short circuit it straight away. Good thinking. As you don't have rice, the only sensible thing you can do is let it air dry. Other than that, if you have friends with any silica packets from their electronics you can put it in that too, which absorbs even more water than the uncooked rice method.

Anyways, good luck on getting your phone to work. If you live in a dry environment, I think that by the time you have to turn on your phone, it will be dry already.
