Dropped my iPhone in the toilet? - 1

I dropped my phone into the toilet, it was in there for less then ten seconds. I got it out and took the sim card out and tried to flick the water out of it. I left it in the airing cupboard, and the condensation had gone away. But now the phone won't illuminate, it has sound and is switched on, but I can't use the screen and the display isn't working. Siri is still working, but I can only hear the sounds and push the home button. Is there any chance it might work again, or should I just buy a new one? I'm a teenage girl, who really can't live without texting, and if it wasn't for my iPad, I would be dead! (obviously not actually dead, but still)

Go get a kindle instead.

Your iPhone will probably never work properly again. I would just buy a new one and be more careful this time around.

Take out the battery and put the battery and phone in a bowl of uncooked rice… Leave it there for a couple hours

This works and i'm not bull***ing you i promise

1
Turn off your mobile phone. Remove the protective cover and take out the battery. Remove the SIM card, if it has one.

2
Set aside the battery and SIM card. Place the phone on a cookie sheet and into the oven.

3
Set your oven to the lowest setting. If your oven has a "Warm" setting, use it.

4
Allow your phone to bake for four to eight hours. Use a timer to keep track of your phone. Remove the phone from the oven with oven mitts.

5
Allow your phone to cool for an hour.

6
Plug one end of the charger into the phone. Plug the other end into a wall outlet. Turn on your phone and see if it works.

Put it in some uncooked rice! Do you have insurance? If you do you can get it replaced for free. Is it the new iPhone 5? If it doesn't work just go ahead and get the new iPhone 5.

Put em in the bowl of rice my friend did it. It seems *** up but it worked for him and the rice will absorb the water.

Don't put phone in rice or anything like that.take out battery for a week and let it dry out on its back and front. You would have to pay full price for a water damage phone.
