Early AT&T upgrade fee for iPhone?
The problem is that every time the new iPhone comes out I'm 1 year in the contract so I don't qualify for a $200 iPhone. The last time I think I payed like $450 for the 16 gb iPhone and renewed the contract. How much money on top of the $200 for the phone do I have to pay like for an early upgrade?
You would have to pay the retail price of $600-800 for the 4s depending on which one you want (16gb, 32gb, etc) I will tell you though, go to Best Buy to get your iPhone because they have something called a "buy back program" and you pay $30 for this program when you purchase your phone and they will give you a percentage back of the RETAIL price even if you payed the upgrade or new contract price. You could've spent $200 on an iPhone for a new contract plus the $30 and 6 months down the road got $400 back for it!
Consider cancelling with AT&T and going to Sprint as well. Sprint will give you upgrades on the main line all the time and you won't have to wait 2 years. Their coverage is getting much better, they are Way more affordable and you get unlimited data with them.
