Ex-Wife says I spoil my daughter
My ex-wife says I spoil my 7-year old daughter a little too much. She does have an iPhone, but it is my old one that I gave her for christmas and some of her friends have one. Also, she has a Master-sized bedroom, only because I wanted the bedroom with the huge window in my new house. Additionally, she has a MacBook Air and a flatscreen in her room. She is beginning to ask for expensive things in the store. I even ended up buying her a new bed in Target! How can I end this now I don't want her to become a brat like those girls on my super sweet 16!
It's fine that you're buying your daughter all these things, and I know some people will say, "Learn how to say NO!", but that isn't what non-spoiling is about. Spoiling is when someone uses you to get things that they desire. In other words, you donate yourself to them. What you must do is, ask your daughter if she feels like the expensive one might just be not as good, or nice, as the less expensive one. Oftentimes I've bought stuff that was expensive, or of "higher" quality, only for it to break on me later.

Giving her the oversized bedroom was your 1st mistake, you are the parent and paying the bills, if you wanted that bedroom you should have just told her without bribbing her, now she knows that and (in her mind) now you have givin her the right to bargin with you,
You now need to sit down with her and set some ground rules, be firm and don't give in, NO might be a harsh word to someone who has been given expensive things.goodluck
