Forgot iPhone UserID & Password. IPhone is locked
My friend restored his iPhone, when it turned on it asks for ID and password. He forgot both the ID and Password. (no point of resetting the credentials)
He has the bill of purchase and the box, so would Apple Center unlock his device?
(I read on internet that they won't unlock the device even if we have bill of purchase as a proof, Is this true? )
You friend can recover their account info through the apple web site - then activate the phone with the new password.
It should be the same id and password as they have always used to install apps on the phone, which is something you do not tend to forget on your own phone!
I can believe the Apple shop need more proof than a bill of purchase; you could have sold it or given it as a gift, but re-acquired it while no longer legally having a right to it.
If he doesn't even know the email for the account then there's really nothing they can do
