Getting an iPhone at Verizon-how much does it really cost?
At the Verizon website it says it's 200 for an iPhone with a 2 year contract. But you have to pay other stuff right? Monthly fees? What are they hiding? It can't really be only 200 for the iPhone 5, right?

Well, if you have a data plan, it'd cost the same. If you just transferred from a basic phone on the new plan you'd have to pay $10 more. They also charge a 30$ activation fee.
The reason they can offer free/reduced price phones is because they get most of their money through your monthly bill. If you look at the without contract phone price, that's the price the phone would normally cost.
