Getting error 51 when connecting iphone 5s when connecting to itunes?

I'm running iTunes on a windows 8 laptop and tried connecting my iPhone 5s for the first time. Whenever it tries syncing, the error box comes up saying that it can't connect to my iPhone and gives me error 51. Any ideas on can be causing this? I've restarted my phone with it connected and itunes open and it went through, but I shouldn't have to do that every time. I reinstalled iTunes and that didn't fix it. I also checked in my device manager to see if the driver was installed and up to date and it was.

  • What is MF Message Error Domain error 1032? - 1 My iPhone keeps displaying this message and its really annoying. I have read that deleting your yahoo email profile can resolve this but will it erase all my emails currently on my iPhone. Or will it redownload them when I re-register my yahoo email account?
