Good excuse for being 4 hours into a no call no show?

I was supposed to be there for 4, had 2 alarms set for 3 & 3:30. My iPhone DID NOT GO OFF. It did the same thing last Wednesday. But last Wednesday I had to go to the ER anyway. So it worked out. This week I didn't hear it again. I was one of the opening people for work so they re probaby hectic right now but I wouldn t have been there long anyway. My schedule was short today. That s besides the point but I need a good excuse or an idea to get a doctors note. IIm tired of working at the hell hole but I wouldn t like to quit just yet. Had no intentions on doing a no call no show.

I have the same problem with my Android. Try resetting. If that doesn't work install a different alarm app.

There's no good excuse. It isn't your employer's fault you didn't get an alarm.

Death is a good excuse. Kidnapping. BTW, you should consider that the employer is probably in it for the profits. That means employing people to make money. Unless you are a highly valued employee (which I doubt) you are probably out.

I actually had my android not go off this morning too - fortunately I was only a few minutes late (and nobody really pays that much attention to when I come and go - as long as my work gets done).

Your best bet would be to tell the truth - if they fire you, then it gets you out of the 'hell hole' and motivates you to find another job.

Don't bother with an excuse; you aren't worth the trouble. They should just fire you as you are unreliable.

How about buying a good old fashioned alarm clock?
