Grounded for having a crush?
I'm 14 and I have a crush on my guy friend. My mom found out that I had a crush and was pretty mad, but she got even madder when she found out that I was texting him on my iPhone.
I don't get that. That's really not fair. He's my FRIEND, why wouldn't I talk to him?
She took away my phone and said I can never talk to him again. I don't understand what I did wrong! I only have a crush on my guy friend and I wasn't even having inappropriate conversations with him.
She also thinks that my friend has a bad influence on me because she found an email between me and her talking about my crush.
Tell her that you can't help it, you have a crush on him, and he's just your friend. Then explain to her the kind of guy he is, and that even if he likes you back, you'll be careful. You won't be irresponsible.
Then tell her, if she keeps being this overprotective, it will just force you to have to hide everything from her. Is that what she wants?
Try not to get too mad at her… I think she's just thinking about all the worst things that could happen. She's your mom, she's just scared you'll grow up too fast.
- What to do when you're grounded? Well i'm grounded until the end of this school year. I don't have my iphone, my brother has taken the xbox, i don't know what to do on the computer, and i'm not aloud out of the house. Someone please help!
