Has anyone bought the iphone for straight talk yet?
How is it. It looks like it doesn't have 3g?
I wouldn't recommend any smart phones on Straight Talk. I currently have them as my provider, and I use an HTC Wildfire S, which was unlocked, with a Straight Talk sim card. I get very poor service all the time. The old phone I had from them, which was not a smart phone, got amazing service everywhere. I have not tried the Iphone yet, but I'd assume it's not worth the cost for the service you'll receive.
It does work on Straight Talk. Make sure you get a SIM compatible on AT&T's network (they sell both AT&T and T-Mobile compatible SIMs). If you get the AT&T compatible SIM for it (assuming you bought an iPhone from AT&T or unlocked by the factory), you don't need to unlock it and it will work on AT&T's bands with 3G or 4G HSPA+ data (depending on what model iPhone you have).
How is the AT&T or T-Mobile service in your calling area? If AT&T and T-Mobile have good service you should have no problem. If their service is not the best, you may want to get a Straight Talk phone that uses Verizon towers for service.

And it got here today and when you turn it on its like a new phone says hello in different languages but in the top left corner it says locked SIM I haven't got the new SIM card yet but what does that mean?
