Why is my iphone taking so long to charge?
Ok i charged it this morning and it was at 98%, i get to school and its at like 73 then keeps draining. I headed to 4th period and i was at like 25%. I felt it overheating or whatever and thought it would cool down. Eventually my phone dies all the way and i get home to charge it. But the battery is still red for over an hour of charging--- do i have to replace the battery?
You should have turned it off when it was overheating.
And yes, the battery is fried. You need a new battery.
It shouldn't be red after an hour of charging… It should be green, well duh. You should definitely get your iPhone checked out!
Li-thium battery is dangerous under misuse. The battery icon in the screen should turn green for over an hour of charging, but yours is still red. That shows your battery don't work normally. So you'd better to replace the battery.
Do not keep using a bad battery, It may cause safety hazards.
