How to delete songs on iPhone?

This use to be my aunts phone, and the freakin songs in the iPod app has like old songs, artist that barely anyone knows (iTunes automacticaly downloads free songs onto my phone), and T-T freaking damn one direction songs. Jeez… Even when I connect it to the computer to delete it, it won't let me. How do I delete it?

Try 1 of these
1.
Connect to iTunes, Go to the iPod settings. Press manually manage music. Press the music tab under where your iPod is. Type in the song name. Highlight it and press the delete button.

2. (iOS 5)
Go to the music app. Find the song.swipe to the right on the song title. Then press delete

Is you have the latest iOS (5.0.1 I think) you are able to slide your finger over the song and delete it. When you are in iTunes just delete the song that is shown in iTunes and the file in the correct folder where iTunes gets its music.

You have to uncheck the songs on your iTunes library, and then sync iPhone with iTunes, the songs will be deleted from the iPhone.

Or You may try this ipod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete, upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes.
