How do I track the data used only by my mobile hot spot on my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 6s on the AT&T Network. I recently switched to their "Unlimited Data Plus" plan. It gives you unlimited data that slows down after 22 GB, plus 10 GB of Mobile Hot Spot. I have attached a screenshot with all the plan details.

Anyways, when I check my data usage on my account, it gives me the total amount used. However, it doesn't tell me how much of it is regular usage and how much is mobile hot spot usage.

What is the best/easiest way to keep track of how much mobile hot spot data I'm using? I want to know so that I don't go through my 10 GB too fast. I'm willing to pay for an app but only if I know for sure that it's going to do what I want it to.

I've tried a few apps already but none of them have done exactly what I'm wanting.

"My Data Usage"
"Data Usage in Real Time"
"DataFlow"
"Advanced Data Usage Tracker"
"DataMeter"

Thanks for the help! How do I track the data used only by my mobile hot spot on my iPhone - 1

22 GB minus 10 GB = 12 GB of "regular data": They may mean this- you have a total of 22 GB, of which 10 GB can be Hotspot. I.e. You have 12 GB data plus 10 GB Hotspot, for a total of 22 GB of data ~ after you use your 22 GB (data+hotspot data) they slow you down. Why do I say this, I don't think they separate Hotspot data, data is data.

Download one of several data monitoring apps that will do both Wi-Fi and cellular data. It will be up to you to decide which one works best for your needs, so make sure you can set the app to work with your billing period.

I know for Android, there as several that do real time data use, and can even help you block certain apps from even using data, unless you want them to, even if they are system apps.

It is easy to not use up your Hotspot allowance, just don't use the phone as a Hotspot for ANYTHING, if there's an open Wi-Fi router available.

Example I have Wi-Fi at home, but never use the Hotspot for tablets or laptop, unless the broadband internet is not working at home. I don't allow friends or strangers to log onto my Hotspot when out and about, by using the MAC address filtering for other devices, so only this I enter into the filter are allowed to connect.

In the Cellular settings, at the bottom of the list of apps and their usage, is a "System Services >" item. Personal Hotspot is one of the services tracked there.

  • Why can't I use Wi-Fi on my iPhone as a hot spot? I can only use my phones network carrier data and 3G when I go to use my phones hotspot and not Wi-Fi. I used to be with BT Wi-Fi but can't afford it at the moment. For some reason I'm Able to still use BT Fons on my phone for Wi-Fi. But can't connect it to my laptop. Any help would be appreciated
  • Used Iphone 4 used for Wi-Fi only? I'm thinking about buying an iphone 4, but i plan on using my wi-fi instead of getting a plan. Will I be able to do this? I'm going to be buying the Iphone used. Please don't ask why not just buy an ipod, the person who is selling it to me is giving it at a good price. & also, the seller had at&t. If decide to activate the iphone will i have to activate it wity at&t?
