How long should an Iphone 5s take to restart?

I'm really worried cuz I've pressed restart on my phone and now its taking forever to finish restarting as the bar hasn't moved in the last hour. Could it mean the phone is broken Someone Please Please Help ME. The phones 16gb and I only just got it a couple of hours ago so I don't have any apps on it, I don't understand what's taking so long?

Move somewhere cooler?
Might be updating so you need to move to somewhere with better wi-fi?
Send it back and see if the store will replace it?

If there's a bar, I'm guessing it's updating so do the first two tips in that case.

You don't ever have to even shut an iphone off, I haven't turned mine off in 2 years. Just let it go dormant at night and flip the little switch in the corner to mute it.

  • How long does it take an iPhone to recharge after it had been dead a long time? My cousin just gave me her old iPhone 5. It's in good condition but it's been sitting in her drawer for months. I don't know how many months but a pretty long while. Anyways, i out it on the charger and it hasn't moved from the red. It's been on maybe… At least a half hour. Is it okay?   • How long should my iPhone take to fully charge? So my battery life was on red and than I charged it and it's been 3 hours and it still has like 30% to go. Is this normal. Plus I can't open my iTunes on my computer it's said windows installing for 3 hours. My iPhone is new if that matters.
  • How long should it take to restore an iPhone 4? My iPhone 4 was stolen and jail-broken. I have it back now and am trying to restore it to factory default settings. I just did it from the settings on the phone versus doing through my computer. It's been on the black screen with the little white spinning circle for an hour now. I know that there was A LOT of stuff on it so I'm sure it's going to take quite sometimes to restore it. But I'm curious to how long it should take?
