How long should I charge my new iPhone 5?
I just got my iPhone 5 today. However, my parents want me to charge my iPhone with at least 24 hours (without doing anything to it). They believe that charging phones long enough for the first time will prolong the battery life.
However, I tried to google the answer and people said that lithium plasma battery does not have to be fully charged for the first time. I also know this is true because my AP Chemistry teacher once told me that these kind of batteries don't have to be fully charged.
But anyway, I just want to ensure that it's okay to NOT charge my iPhone for 24 hours.
I don't want to damage my iPhone because of the battery. I feel like I need to ask this question because, not just my parents, everyone said that you need to charge your battery for a long period of time for the first time.
Please give me some PROPER recommendations on charging my iPhone.
Just when ever it gets to 100% and when to charge it is when it gets to 20% and let it completely die one time a month.
- What should I do should I get a new phone or not be embarrassed? And how do I convince my parents to get me a new phone? I have an iPhone 4 and it is 2017. The iPhone 7 already came out and I jane a 4. I feel really embarrassed when I take out my phone that I don't take it out because my friends have the iPhone 6 and 7.
- How should I charge my iphone 5 on its first charge? I heard that I should charge it for at least 12 hours before I use it. And then I heard that I should just charge it after I drain the battery. What should I do? If my iphone is already at 100% charged when I first take it out of the box, should I still charge it?
- How long should my iPhone take to fully charge? So my battery life was on red and than I charged it and it's been 3 hours and it still has like 30% to go. Is this normal. Plus I can't open my iTunes on my computer it's said windows installing for 3 hours. My iPhone is new if that matters.
- How long should it take my iPhone to charge enough for it to turn on? My iPhone died on me I put it on the charger and it's been more then 5 min. Still not turning on, help me please
