How long does it take for bailiffs to come out?
My little sister took out a contract for an iPhone and and didn't pay it and now owes like £500, she's had debt people round. But i'm just wondering how long till baliffs come round? Do you go to court first? Or do they just turn up? I'm from the uk if that helps.
They just turn up and will be son, they take furniture to the value of the £500 owed, start paying even £2 to the company and it will stop the bailiffs, then it will be a country court judgement and by now she has a bad credit rating for the future, thankfully I live in Scotland and we no longer have bailiffs, Good Luck
They can turn up anytime with a court order. If she is smart she will not admit them. They will gain access anyway they can. Such as following her in, a foot in the door and entry through an insecure window. All this is legal. She should keep a chain on her door and call the police if they threaten or try to force an entry. Other than that she could pay up and sleep at night.
