How many gigabytes should I get on the iPhone 5?

I don't really know if texts take up data but if it does, take it into consideration please.

- I DON'T want to delete any texts
- I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures saved (enough room for 2000 max)
- I have Instagram so I need enough data to use it
- won't have a lot of games but will need A LOT of data for the future

please let me know if I need 16gb, 32gb, of 64gb

Well if you need alot of data in the future, than you should atleast get the 32gb. But if you just have pictures, apps, music and not too many games, than 16gb might be sufficient. But also take into consideration, that the 16gb model may be sold out in more places due to it being cheaper( only $199 ).So with that being said, i think you would be find with 16gb, but save up another $100 just incase the 16gb is sold out.

32 Atleast. And text auto delete after a hundred text in each thread btw. My 16 ipod is not enough and there are no text on it.

  • Why does restoring my iphone from a backup use up so many gigabytes? I have an iphone 5 and I'm trying to restore my phone from last backup. Unfortunately, the back up is cancelled about 30 minutes in because my hard disk runs out of space. I have 10 gigs left so there should be any problem with that. I went to mobilesync folder and then to the backup folder and there's one folder there. Once you click on that folder there are thousands of files in that folder that have several modified dates on them. Basically can I just delete the old dated files?
  • Why do the 400 pictures on my IPhone take up 5.9 gigabytes of memory? I have tried deleting many pictures and it only seems to clear up a little bit of memory, this just seems way to high for me.
  • Why do my iPhone pictures take up so much gigabytes? I have a 32GB iPhone 5, and I'm trying to free up space on my phone, I only have 379 pictures (31 videos but they aren't long, longest video is 5 minutes) and it's used up 6.4 GB! My friends have somewhere near 800 pictures and they only use up around 1 or 2 GB. Any reason why my pictures use up so much GB? And any way I can make them use less?
  • Should I get 16 or 64 gigabytes? I'm getting an iPhone 6s and I'm thinking of getting either 16 or 64 gigabytes. I take a lot of pictures and I will be downloading messenger apps like Whatsapp and Messenger. The only apps I will have are these, instagram, a couple picture editing apps, and maybe a couple games like flappy bird or something. Is 16 enough or should I upgrade to a 64 gigabyte phone? And a bonus question: Which color is better, silver or space grey?
