How much does an iPhone cost in the USA? - 1

I'm Italian and people here in Italy think that in the USA all is cheaper. In Italy, without a contract an iPhone costs 729, 829, 929 € according to the memory (16, 32, 64 GB). And know that an usual salary is 1000 €.

In the US Almost everyone buys the phone with the 2 year contract, thats why it looks so much cheaper. The phone companies gives discounts on it because you are using their service for 2 years.

Most phones don't get over $200 on a 2 year contract… But without a contract, phones reach $600+ USD. I haven't checked the iPhone price, but it would probably be at least $500 for an iPhone 4s and it keeps going up from there.

Without a contract in the US the iPhone (5) costs $599, 699, 799. €451.50, 526.87, 602.25 respectively. The prices are mostly likely higher due to European taxes/VATs.

Those sound like the prices of unlocked iPhones which are sold in Europe (from the get go anyway) & then became available in the US afterwards. In that case it is $649, 749, 849 which is €489.11, 564.56, 639.93

Guarda, io l'ho preso a santa monica (los angeles) e l'ho pagato 700$ circa 500€ ti parlo dell'iphone 4 a settembre 2011! Conveniva rispetto all'italia… Tra l'altro nello stato di NY l'iva dovrebbe essere piu bassa li un mio collega l'aveva pagato poco meno…
