How much does it cost to cancel a Verizon contract? - 1

I had a 2 year contract with Verizon. The plan I had was with my Iphone 4S,16GB,2 or 1(can't remember) GB of internet, unlimited talk, and unlimited text. I signed the contract December 4th,2012, canceled it in late September, or early October of 2013. So how much does it cost to cancel it cause my mom is the one who takes care of my money cause I've my disabilities. She won't give me a straight answer she says 525 when I ask how much it cost and how much I have left to pay on it.

Added (1). I did that and they won't tell me cause my mom signed the contract cause she is my guardian and my mom won't give me a straight answer.

You'd have to look at the bill or call ask as Verizon as it varies.

When we took a phone off the 2 year contract plan with Verizon $200.00. They said every time we removed a phone from the 2 year plan then it will cost $200.00.

Linds is right. It does vary by company, by phone, how long you've been with these people, etc… A rough estimate would be over $500 though. That is by no means cheap and $500 doesn't just float into your wallet. Besides that, you're going to have to deal with their customer service dept that will hassle you with imaginary discounts and bill cuts until you agree to stay. A lot of trouble just to switch providers if you ask me.

Verizon frequently changes their early termination fee. Sometimes they prorate it so it will depend on the number of months you have left. It also depends on how much your phone costs. With the iPhone, If you terminated in September, you had only paid about 1/2 the value of the phone; so, simply guessing I would think it would cost anywhere from $200 to $500 to get out of your contract. Verizon is really bad at saying you are still under contract when in reality you really aren't; so you gotta watch them real close!
