How to access my desktop from my iPhone?
I downloaded the app RD Client for my iPhone to try and connect to my laptop's desktop, but I can't seem to get it to work. I looked up tutorial videos and followed what they said but still no luck. When I turn on remote access on my computer it asks to allow remote assistance. Is this the right thing or am I doing it completely wrong?
Doing it wrong. You need to use a program like TeamViewer (its free for home use).
You need to have the professional version of windows on your computer to use RDP. There are other free solutions such as NoMachine and Teamviewer. NoMachine is a server that you install on your computer and it is essentially the same thing as RDP and requires set up and port forwarding and the like. Teamviewer goes through their own servers and no setup is required.
