How to activate unlocked iPhone 6 Plus without iTunes/computer?
I'm buying my first smartphone and found a factory unlocked iPhone 6 Plus on eBay. I know I need a Nano SIM card to activate it… So when I buy the phone and a nano SIM card, would The phone boot up automatically and can use the phone as an iPod (no phone carrier) or do I have to connect the phone to iTunes/computer to complete the activation process? I basically wanna buy the phone and use it as an iPod until I get service.
I'm not sure about having no computer/iTunes but I do know that you can use the phone without a SIM but to boot it up you will need a SIM. But you could just borrow a friend's just to boot it up and then take it out afterwards and the device will still function.
In fact, I'm actually on a 5s right now and I haven't had a SIM in it since I bought it because I have an old phone as my main phone line and my 5s is basically just an iPod or iPad.
