How to buy a iphone 4 for Sprint without a 2-year contract?
I want to give it as a gift for my boyfriend, but i don't want to pay 600 for the retail price. Any ways around it?

The $600 price is the full price of the phone.
When you buy it for $200, the cell phone carrier is subsidizing the phone, and paying the difference.
You either pay $600 now, or you pay $200, and get the contract where you essentially pay the rest over 2 years.
For a new iPhone4 you can either pray for an iPhone or pay full price, or buy a used iPhone from craigslist or eBay. The iPhone is 4 is now older thus should not be that much.
